These best ever Chocolate Chip Cookies use a special baking technique to give them a unique wrinkly appearance that is sure to have everyone stopping in their tracks. A true American classic with a twist.
It seems I’ve been having a run of bad luck this week. My camera decided a siesta was in order despite the fact I have only had it for a month – enough time to realize that my life would abruptly come to a standstill without it and a sense of panic would overtake me as my mind raced to figure out an adequate plan to alleviate this crisis. To add to my panic, Canon tells me (or the Mr. since I was too busy sobbing in the corner, quickly dabbing the raccoon eyes painted on my face by my coal black mascara) that it will take two weeks to fix it. Gasp!? Two weeks!!!!! Does Canon know that the world will now come to an end? What’s a girl to do for her photography classes? How will I document my latest adventures. . .or misadventures in the kitchen? Reluctantly, I dusted off my Canon Rebel which now feels like a washed up toy, not the tried and true friend that once accompanied me on my many adventures across the globe. I feel so terrible saying this. Do cameras have feelings?
Two batches of homemade marshmallows that is.
Remember my post last week about making hot chocolate on a stick (if not, you can read about it here) and how I mentioned this was my first foray into the candy making world? Well, the success with this recipe left me feeling like I had single handedly conquered candy making and could confidently tackle any candy making adventure that was thrown my way.
With this new found confidence, I started to think about how lovely it would be to top my homemade hot chocolate off with some equally decadent homemade marshmallows? I could see it now. . .my perfect, square marshmallows perched elegantly above my blocks of chocolate. Beautiful!
