A decadent chocolate brioche is converted into wickedly soft brioche donuts filled with rich & creamy Cadbury Creme Eggs. Perfect for Easter celebration or using up that Easter candy after the holiday is long gone.
Cherries have invaded my local supermarket and I couldn’t be happier. These ruby jewels are my absolute favorite fruit and I’m finding that I have the urge to top each and every morsel that makes its way in front of me with these juicy delights. But I’m not the only one currently swooning over cherries. I caught the Mr. red handed sneaking handfuls from the stash I had carefully set aside for baking. Tssk! Tssk! Bad boy!
Given my love affair with cherries, during the next couple of weeks, I will be bringing you a series of posts that celebrate this fruit as the star ingredient.
With that, let’s start with this custardy cherry clafoutis. Despite it’s fancy appearance, this is quite possibly one of the easiest desserts I have ever made. And if that weren’t perfection in of itself, this cherry clafoutis is also quite versatile, making the perfect breakfast, brunch or dessert. What’s not to love?
Through my posts, you have been reading about the many facets of my life, including the antics of my furry four legged kiddos. While I love the little guys dearly, there are times when they can drive me absolutely bonkers, especially my Bengal kitty, ZaZu.
In case you are not familiar with this breed, they are a cross between a domestic cat and the Asian leopard. They are known to bond tightly with one member of the family (that would be me in ZaZu’s case) and are also extremely intelligent – we’re talking about Einstein level intelligence here (or so it often feels). On top of that, ZaZu is quite the expert manipulator and has mastered the fine art of getting what he wants, when he wants it. He is truly a high maintenance cat.
